Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Senior Network Engineer specializing in Site Reliability Engineering. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the network configuration, security, and monitoring strategy for our global property, datacenter/cloud, and corporate networks. This role provides critical engineering expertise, establishes standards, and champions automation initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement network configuration, security, and monitoring strategy for Property, Datacenter/Cloud, and Corporate Networks.
- Work with architecture, engineering, operational, and application experts to set network standards and architecture.
- Provide engineering expertise in support of network configuration, security, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Engineer network solution designs enabling stability, consolidation, manageability, and future technologies.
- Provide guidance to modify and maintain existing network architecture, oversee lifecycle management, capacity, health, and project management.
- Provide architecture and design support for campus, property, data center, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Work efficiently with technology providers and third-party engineering, application, and operations teams.
- Champion designing and implementing automation strategies using solutions like Ansible and Python.
- Provide oversight, governance, and strategic direction for network infrastructure services.
- Lead and/or participate in researching and designing standards-based, high-performing, and secure components.
- Educate internal and external users on technologies to improve organizational knowledge.
- Participate in and/or lead the evaluation and selection of service products.
- Support analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Utilize capability modeling to align systems strategy with business goals.
- Consult with project teams to modify services to accommodate project needs.
- Support, implement, and promote standard configuration and change management processes.
- Develop and document test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
- 7 years of progressively responsible experience with Network Security Engineering.
- 7 years of experience with TACACS+ and RADIUS protocols.
- 7 years of experience designing and implementing policies in zero trust security tools.
- 7 years of experience with wireshark/tcpdump/nmap and related analysis techniques.
- 7 years of experience developing, documenting, and managing requirements gathering process and providing detailed design and implementation plans.
- 7 years of experience with foundational data networking and IP technologies including ARP, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, NAT.
- 7 years of experience installing, managing, troubleshooting and administration of firewall management solutions (Firemon, Palo Alto Panorama, Checkpoint MDS, and/or Aruba ClearPass).
- 6 years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting zero trust security tools (Cisco ISE or other network admission tools).
- 6 years of experience with common routing and switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, and/or HP/Aruba).
- 6 years of experience with network security tools related products.
- 5 years of experience with one or more Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine).
- 6 months of experience with Agile methodologies, daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions and user story preparations.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $130,900-$171,700 per year.
