Helmes is hiring a Senior .NET Engineer to develop a desktop application for a leading German manufacturer of high-quality power tools. You will be responsible for consolidating five separate applications into one seamless solution for service professionals. This is a short-term project with an estimated delivery time of 3-6 months, with the possibility of extension.
What You'll Do
- Develop APIs, integrate databases, and manage local and remote data storage.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Prepare clear technical documentation.
- Ensure robust integration with third-party libraries, SDKs, and Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including the product manager and business analyst.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework/.NET Core/.NET 5+.
- Experience with desktop application development using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or Windows Forms.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio and related development tools.
- Experience with deployment and installation processes for desktop apps.
- Knowledge of how to integrate third-party libraries and SDKs.
- Familiarity with security practices for desktop applications.
- Practical experience in programming systems that interface with physical equipment via Bluetooth.
- Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
