As a C# Software Engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will work as part of an agile delivery team to design and develop mission-critical software for the Guardian platform, which supports emergency service operators across the UK and Europe. This role focuses on backend development using C# and .NET, contributing to a system that enables rapid response during life-threatening situations.
What You'll Do
- Work as part of an agile delivery team to design and develop software solutions
- Collaborate closely with other members of the development team, Product Manager, and Software Test Engineers
- Develop mission-critical or supporting software to a high standard
- Contribute to design, development, technical documentation, and testing
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Software Developer or significant experience as a Junior Software Developer
- Experience building backend systems in C# .NET, ASP.NET in modern versions of .NET
- Passion for writing high-quality code
- Ability to demonstrate good technical ability
- Understanding of modern software development practices and principles, such as SOLID
- Understanding of modern development workflows, including agile process, Git repositories, pull requests
- 3+ years of hands-on software development using C#
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns and software engineering principles
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
- Must either have NPPV3 clearance, or be willing to be cleared to this standard, which will involve background checks of you and potentially your family
- A formal qualification (Degree) in Computing Science or equivalent experience

The team consists of around 150 employees and is structured as a distributed team with hubs in Glasgow, Leicester, and Hemel, operating with remote and asynchronous workflows. You will report to an agile delivery team and collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Software Test Engineers. Work Mode
