Lead the quality strategy for a self-custody mobile wallet where security and reliability are non-negotiable. In this role, you’ll build QA practices from the ground up, focusing on real-world user behavior and high-risk financial interactions.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement a comprehensive QA framework covering processes, tooling, and test coverage
- Develop realistic, scenario-based testing for core wallet functions, especially offline states, retries, and lifecycle events
- Embed quality assurance early in the development cycle, working alongside mobile engineers using Swift and Kotlin
- Define clear release criteria and own QA sign-off for production deployments
- Introduce automation strategically, using tools like Detox, Maestro, or Playwright where they deliver measurable impact
- Test complex stateful systems under unreliable network conditions and edge-case inputs
- Collaborate across engineering to foster shared accountability for product quality
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in QA, with deep experience in native mobile testing on both iOS and Android
- Proven ability to design and scale QA processes in fast-moving environments
- Strong grasp of Swift and Kotlin codebases, enabling early issue detection
- Experience testing fintech, crypto, or other high-reliability domains
- Skill in balancing manual exploration with effective automation
- Familiarity with E2E and UI testing frameworks such as Detox or Maestro
- Understanding of mobile security concepts, including Keychain and Keystore systems
- Background in testing under network instability or edge-case connectivity
- Exposure to emerging tools like Swift Testing or Model-Context-Protocol (MCP) is a plus
