As a Senior ML Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the backend systems that power AI-driven financial tools. Your work will focus on building and maintaining scalable, secure services that support both predictive modeling and generative AI capabilities.
What You'll Do
You'll lead the development of high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI, ensuring they meet the demands of evolving AI workloads. You'll turn complex requirements into actionable technical designs and collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver reliable solutions.
- Design and maintain backend services that support AI and machine learning workflows at scale
- Optimize database performance and manage schema design and migrations for OLTP systems like Postgres and Aurora
- Integrate internal and third-party APIs, ensuring secure data flow across private network environments
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and system reliability
- Manage and tune AWS infrastructure, including IAM policies and container orchestration via EKS and ECS
- Build data pipelines tailored for training and serving large language models
- Support data governance by contributing to shared architecture standards and structured data practices
- Experiment with and deploy LLM technologies such as Retrieval Augmented Generation and agentic frameworks like AutoGen
- Develop lightweight internal tools using prototyping frameworks such as Streamlit or Gradio for rapid iteration
Requirements
- Proven track record as an ML Engineer with strong Python development skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, EKS, ECS, and related infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Aurora
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade, large-scale applications
- Commitment to writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Familiarity with integrating internal and external services
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Background in LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or agentic systems
- Exposure to deploying applications built with Streamlit or Gradio in production
- Understanding of data governance and structured data management
- Experience with Feature Stores or ELT pipelines
