Responsibilities
- Lead transportation strategy for inbound and outbound freight across North America
- Manage relationships with third-party carriers and logistics providers
- Optimize freight routing and network efficiency
- Oversee freight audit and payment processes
- Develop key performance indicators for transportation performance
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with supply chain planning on capacity forecasting
- Drive cost reduction initiatives across the transportation network
- Implement transportation management system enhancements
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve delivery speed and reliability
- Monitor fuel surcharges and rate negotiations
- Support warehouse and distribution center operations alignment
- Evaluate new transportation technologies and automation tools
- Manage freight claims and loss prevention programs
- Lead incident response for transportation disruptions
- Ensure sustainability goals are integrated into logistics planning
- Coordinate with procurement on vendor selection and contracts
- Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership
- Support peak season logistics planning and execution
- Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes

- Master’s degree in business, logistics, or operations
- 10+ years of transportation leadership experience
- Direct experience in a global manufacturing or retail environment
