About the Role
The Senior Manager, Managed Care will direct payer access and reimbursement strategies, leveraging analytics and stakeholder engagement to optimize coverage and support commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of managed care strategies to support payer coverage and reimbursement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payer strategies with business goals
- Analyze payer landscapes and identify opportunities for improved access
- Develop and maintain relationships with key payer accounts and decision-makers
- Translate clinical and economic data into compelling value propositions for payers
- Monitor and interpret payer policy changes affecting reimbursement
- Support the creation of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) materials for payer submissions
- Oversee the preparation of payer dossiers and reimbursement support tools
- Evaluate the financial impact of payer policies on test utilization and revenue
- Guide internal teams on payer requirements and coverage criteria
- Lead responses to payer requests for information and clinical data
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to payer engagement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all payer-related communications
- Represent the organization in discussions with national and regional payers
- Support market access strategies for new product launches
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure appropriate messaging
- Provide strategic input on contracting approaches with managed care organizations
- Assist in training field teams on payer access and reimbursement topics
- Stay current with industry trends in molecular diagnostics and payer coverage
- Contribute to long-term planning for payer market expansion
