VELUX Group is hiring a Senior Manager, Architecture & Technology to lead the global architecture for our entire digital ecosystem, including mobile apps, cloud services, connectivity, hardware, firmware, and software. You will define architectural strategy and technology roadmaps, ensuring a balance between cost, compliance, CO₂ impact, and strategic fit while leading our transition to a new digital platform.
What You'll Do
- Define the architecture behind a scalable, secure, and future-proof digital platform and implement system engineering practices.
- Define the future architectural strategy and master plan for digital products.
- Own architectural blocks and pre-maturing stages prior to NPL and manage technology roadmaps across internal and external partners.
- Lead technology scouting and partnership development, running technology portfolio initiatives to secure the right TRL levels for execution teams.
- Ensure technologies are validated before entering NPL projects and module foundation.
- Lead the new digital platform transition to secure interoperability, seamless experience, and scalability.
- Define design guidelines, system architectures, interfaces, and technology choices.
- Develop and maintain an internal ecosystem enabling CI/CD, testing, monitoring, simulation, and model-based design.
- Lead a team of architects, system engineers, technical specialists, and UX architects.
- Define and govern technical architecture and system interfaces through architectural and decision forums.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate emerging technologies, ensuring cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with product management, value streams, purchasing, and engineering to align architectural decisions with business goals.
- Build modular building blocks that enable fast and reliable product implementation.
- Drive technical excellence and innovation internally and with external partners, enforcing architectural principles and standards.
- Build community related to systems engineering practices across teams in the digital solution organization.
- Mentor and develop architects, system engineers, and technical specialists.
- Represent Architecture & Technology in cross-functional and strategic forums.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in computer or software science, electronics, data science, or a related field.
- Certification in systems engineering.
- Extensive experience in technical architecture or system engineering roles.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, microservices, and security standards (ETSI, CRA, DATS, AI, GDPR).
- Strong experience or certification with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, INCOSE, and the V-model.
- Experience building and maturing technology and innovation roadmaps, working with UML and architecture tools, and managing technical risk.
- Proven track record in transforming capabilities with teams and new ways of working, including AI in new business creation and current business efficiency optimization.
- Fluent communication in English.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical, visual, collaborative, and pragmatic leadership style.

- Supplementary business or innovation management qualification (HDO or similar).
