Walden University seeks a Senior Manager, Accreditation and Professional Regulation to coordinate regulatory approval efforts with state and territory Boards of Nursing for new and existing campuses. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance and supporting the institution's educational mission.
What You'll Do
- Establish and nurture strong connections with state regulatory agencies to support new campus development.
- Represent the institution to regulatory agencies for new campus initiatives and existing program changes.
- Oversee campus program approval processes, including documentation, submissions, visits, and responses.
- Collaborate on preparing and submitting applications, self-studies, and reports to meet state nursing board requirements.
- Ensure timely handling of licensing and compliance issues with corporate departments.
- Serve as a resource on State Boards of Nursing regulatory approval matters.
- Provide input on undergraduate prelicensure curriculum development to meet state and professional standards.
- Review qualifications for campus staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Establish and support new campus and online advisory committees, attending meetings as needed.
- Assist in developing and submitting professional accreditation change reports.
- Participate in mock self-assessment activities, guiding faculty and staff through accreditation.
- Serve on committees to ensure regulatory compliance and provide input on new campus development.
- Ensure fair application of student and academic policies per regulatory standards.
- Travel as needed, up to 25%-30%, to fulfill essential duties.
What We're Looking For
- Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- Five years of teaching and/or management experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience with assessment, accreditation, and regulatory approval processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with state agency personnel.
- Strong critical thinking skills to assess implicit state requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, editing, and computer skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%-30%, including overnight or out-of-state trips.
Nice to Have
- PhD in Nursing or a related discipline.
Team & Environment
This role reports to the Director and operates within a team supporting accreditation and professional regulation.

- Compensation range: $80,336.75 to $140,851.54.
