Luminus is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to play a pivotal role in transforming power generation optimization through data-driven solutions. You will join our Generation Data Intelligence team, working alongside domain experts and plant operators to tackle the unique challenges of electricity production.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that predict failures, optimize maintenance, and boost energy output.
• Implement MLOps best practices, ensuring robust monitoring, testing, and sustainable deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and domain experts to deliver impactful solutions for daily operations.
• Work closely with the IT NEO Data Platform team to standardize ML workflows and leverage shared Python packages.
• Transform raw operational data into structured, reusable insights aligned with Data Governance principles.
• Explore emerging technologies and innovative approaches, such as multi-agent reinforcement learning, to drive optimization.

What We're Looking For

• A strong interest in the energy sector and a deep understanding of electricity production challenges.
• 5+ years of experience industrializing machine learning products from concept to production.
• Fluency in English and Dutch or French, enabling smooth collaboration in multilingual environments.
• Skill in AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, SageMaker) and Python for data science and ML.
• Experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyOD, and Darts, plus DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD, Docker).

Nice to Have

• Expertise in time series anomaly detection.
• Expertise in AI-assisted coding.
• Expertise in RAG systems.
• Expertise in historians such as Aveva OSIsoft PI.
