Mimica is hiring a Senior HR/People Ops Specialist – Payroll, Benefits & Compliance

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including data privacy and employment standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to maintain benefits programs.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the organization's growth.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to the HR team on payroll, benefits, and compliance issues.
  • Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Prepare and submit required government reports and filings.
  • Stay current with changes in labor laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting related to payroll and benefits.
  • Manage the administration of employee leave programs, including sick leave, vacation, and family leave.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to employees on benefits and payroll-related topics.
  • Manage the administration of employee recognition and reward programs.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of employee data and records.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Provide support to the HR team during open enrollment periods for benefits.
  • Conduct regular reviews of HR policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.
  • Provide support to the HR team during mergers and acquisitions or other organizational changes.
  • Conduct regular reviews of employee satisfaction and engagement levels.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee wellness programs.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in HR, such as PHR or SPHR.
  • Experience with international HR and compliance.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting.
  • Experience with HR technology and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and payroll processing.
