About the Role

Pomelo Care is hiring a Senior HR Business Partner to act as a strategic partner to our Growth and Technology functions. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning people strategies with business goals, building a strong culture, and driving organizational performance at a scaling startup passionate about improving care for moms and babies.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees at all levels, providing thought partnership, coaching, and data-driven insights.
  • Partner with leaders to navigate organizational change with minimal impact to retention and operations.
  • Drive performance review and calibration cycles, ensuring equitable and transparent processes.
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative feedback to identify opportunities and implement solutions in people processes.
  • Lead efforts to establish learning and development opportunities, including career laddering and upskilling programs.
  • Anticipate organizational needs and proactively identify areas of opportunity across workforce planning and role design.
  • Guide managers in handling complex employee relations matters.
  • Collaborate with the broader People team on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of progressive People/HR experience.
  • 3+ years in a Business Partner or strategic People Partner role.
  • Proven success in driving business outcomes through the design and implementation of people strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and data-oriented, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to inform action.
  • Impeccable sense of judgement; experience navigating complex and ambiguous situations.
  • High EQ paired with an effective toolkit for coaching, facilitation, and influencing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort navigating a wide range of HR compliance and employee relations needs.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at startup or high-growth organizations.
  • Experience partnering with tech and growth teams in a remote-first, distributed environment.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary: $135,000-$150,000 + generous equity compensation.
