UserWise Services is hiring a Senior Game Designer to shape the player experience for Fruit Ninja and other casual and hybrid casual games. This full-time role involves designing core loops, systems, and features that delight players. You will join a globally distributed team, collaborating remotely from a base in the EU or Turkey.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop core loops, systems, gameplay, and rewards for casual/hybrid casual games.
- Own feature designs and drive them through the production cycle into release and live-ops.
- Collaborate with Design & Product Management to brainstorm, design, and iterate on features.
- Collaborate with UX and UI to build wireframes and flows that accentuate the feature design.
- Work with developers to ensure that designs are translated into code as per specification.
- Develop post-launch and live-ops features by integrating events to support the game throughout its lifecycle.
- Pitch, communicate, and maintain a holistic view of the game design to facilitate production and vet ideas.
- Pitch and suggest ideas that can help overcome complex problems to create a better player experience.
- Deconstruct competitor game systems, loops, and features.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years experience designing features and building games for live-service titles.
- Extensive understanding, skills, and experience with core-loop, gameplay, and systems design.
- Proven success in gameplay, game system design, balancing, and live-ops strategies.
- Player-centric design and strong player empathy.
- Passion for playing and making games.
- Knowledge of the latest mobile gaming trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with game engines like Unity.
- Understanding of other design areas outside gameplay and systems.
