What You'll Do
Design and refine the foundational gameplay loops, progression systems, and reward structures for mobile titles in the casual and hybrid casual space. You’ll take ownership of feature development from concept through release and into ongoing live-ops, ensuring each element supports long-term player engagement.
Partner closely with product and UX teams to generate, test, and evolve new features. Translate design concepts into clear wireframes and user flows, working hand-in-hand with UI to ensure intuitive player experiences. Collaborate with engineering to guarantee accurate implementation of your designs, maintaining fidelity to the original vision.
Lead design discussions with clarity and insight, presenting cohesive visions that align cross-functional teams. Analyze competitor titles to understand effective mechanics and identify opportunities for differentiation. Propose creative solutions to design challenges, always prioritizing player satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years designing features and systems for live-service mobile games
- Deep expertise in core-loop design, gameplay mechanics, progression systems, and balance
- Demonstrated success in managing live-ops strategies and post-launch content planning
- Strong empathy for players and a commitment to player-centric design principles
- Up-to-date awareness of current trends and innovations in the mobile gaming landscape
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, as the primary language of collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Unity or similar game engines
- Broader understanding of adjacent design disciplines beyond core gameplay
