Jobgether is hiring a Senior Fullstack PHP/JS Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll work on the core of a leading open-source web analytics platform, contributing to both the main application and its plugin ecosystem. You'll solve complex technical challenges, optimize performance, and help shape architectural decisions while collaborating closely with product managers and designers.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure, and performant software across PHP and JavaScript codebases.
- Solve complex technical problems, optimize system performance, and contribute to architectural improvements.
- Navigate and enhance large, mature codebases, ensuring maintainable and well-tested solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful features and improve user experience.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance, fostering engineering excellence.
- Contribute to the evolution of engineering practices, processes, and standards across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development.
- Strong expertise in PHP and JavaScript, with experience working in large-scale, complex codebases.
- Solid understanding of software design, architecture, and problem-solving in distributed systems.
- Experience collaborating in remote, globally distributed teams.
- Passion for building products with real-world impact, high quality, and excellent user experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Vue.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with Linux CLI, MySQL, and Git/GitHub workflows.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
