Usecon is hiring a PHP & React.js Developer to build modern websites and web applications using React.js and headless WordPress. You will join a team focused on user-centered strategies that blend Experience Design, User Research, and modern software development.
What You'll Do
- Build modern websites & web apps with React.js and WordPress (headless).
- Develop Gutenberg blocks using React and @wordpress/scripts, and themes/plugins in PHP 8+.
- Conceptualize and integrate APIs (REST/GraphQL), plan data models (MySQL).
- Implement clean frontend (HTML5, CSS3, TailwindCSS/SCSS), ensuring responsive and cross-browser compatibility.
- Consider performance and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) from the start.
- Ensure quality through code reviews, tests (Jest/Playwright/PHPUnit), and CI/CD (GitHub).
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience as a (Full-)Stack Developer.
- German language skills at least B2 level, confident in customer conversations.
- Proficient with Next.js, React & TypeScript.
- Experience with WordPress & PHP 8+, including Gutenberg, theme/plugin development.
- Proficient with Git, npm/yarn, Vite/Webpack, MySQL.
- Basic understanding of security (OWASP basics) and clean architecture.
