What You'll Do
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, microservices-based systems that power high-performance e-commerce platforms. You'll develop fullstack solutions using React and Node.js, with a strong focus on clean architecture and system reliability. Your work will directly influence product direction and technical excellence across distributed environments.
Own the deployment and orchestration of services in cloud platforms, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes across GCP and AWS. You'll optimize database performance across both SQL and NoSQL systems, ensuring efficient data flow and scalability. A core part of your role will include extending and customizing VTEX IO solutions—building integrations, configuring storefronts, and developing middleware layers that connect critical services.
Champion code quality through test-driven development, peer reviews, and automated pipelines. You'll help maintain high engineering standards by refining CI/CD processes using tools like GitHub Actions, ensuring fast and reliable delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional experience as a Fullstack Developer
- Proven track record working extensively with Node.js and React for at least five years
- Strong grasp of microservices architecture, REST API design, and software design patterns
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud deployment (AWS or GCP)
- Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases
- Familiarity with testing methodologies including TDD and tools such as Jest
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions or equivalent systems
- Direct experience developing within the VTEX IO ecosystem
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with additional frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools
