Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to contribute to a fast-paced Agile DevOps team. You will design and build secure, scalable enterprise applications using cutting-edge technologies on AWS, playing a vital role in the full software development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate in a high-performance Agile DevOps team to build and deliver modern applications.
- Design and develop software solutions across the full stack, including user interfaces, REST APIs, and data access layers.
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain applications deployed in Docker environments, ensuring CI/CD best practices are followed.
- Perform automated testing including unit, integration, functional, performance, and accessibility tests.
- Contribute to secure development practices using tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, and ZAP.
- Engage in microservices architecture and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ when required.
- Ensure all software passes quality gates within continuous integration pipelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT Management, or equivalent experience/certifications.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software development, DevSecOps, and full stack engineering.
- Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot, JPA, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop enterprise-level solutions in AWS environments.
- Experience with containerized development using Docker and Docker Compose.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation platforms such as Jenkins.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Nice to Have
- Experience in microservices deployment on Kubernetes (EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge of asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with test-driven development frameworks and tools like Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, REST/JSON, and database migration tools like Liquibase or Flyway.
- Experience with secure coding practices and performance testing.
- Comfortable using scrum management tools such as Jira.
