Ion is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to partner directly with clients to design and build exceptional user experiences. You will lead a team of UI engineers, act as a hands-on architect, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality software within client environments.
What You'll Do
- Partner with clients to lead the design and build of user experiences using modern web development technologies.
- Manage a team of UI engineers and collaborate with key contributors to deliver high-quality software.
- Act as a hands-on engineer and architect supporting initiatives from small features to complex systems.
- Lead projects, mentor teams, and collaborate with other practices to ensure successful delivery.
- Design and build full-stack applications using Angular (primary) and Java technologies (secondary).
- Support backend development using Java / Spring Boot to build and maintain RESTful services and business logic.
- Partner with client stakeholders to build strong relationships, acting as a strategic technical advisor.
- Support business development through solution design, client presentations, and contributing to proposals.
- Help develop strong management practices within the Engineering practice, supporting career growth and mentoring.
- Develop responsive web applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Angular (v10+).
- Backend development experience with Java / Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, Git, and modern development practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices, AWS and Terraform.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Experience in capital markets, financial markets/products, or consulting is highly desirable.
- Experience with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot is a plus.
