Hologram is hiring a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to work on high-impact user-facing features and capabilities for the Firefox browser on desktop platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS). You will build interfaces with a focus on accessibility and usability within a large, mature codebase and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
What You'll Do
- Build high-quality user interfaces and experiences for Firefox with accessibility and usability in mind.
- Write code and tests, build prototypes, solve problems with no clear solution, and collaborate with other designers and engineers.
- Learn about a wide variety of problems and solutions across a large, mature codebase.
- Work with multi-functional teams, building relationships and nurturing collaboration to reach shared goals.
- Help level-up the skills of your fellow engineers through code reviews, talks, and documentation.
- Promote and maintain high standards of code-quality, focusing on performance, testing, security, usability, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Work with driven, committed team members to bring the open web to people around the world.
- Contribute to improving engineering practices and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Redux, and browser-based UI development.
- A background in shipping high-quality software.
- Interest in and ability to work with a distributed team, requiring strong asynchronous written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback.
