As a Senior Frontend AI-First Platform/Systems Engineer, you will take full ownership of frontend architecture and platform foundations. Working primarily with React and TypeScript, you'll define the structural direction of the frontend codebase, ensuring systems are built for scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of frontend architecture across shared libraries, component systems, and platform-level abstractions
- Make autonomous decisions on technical direction, balancing innovation with stability and long-term quality
- Develop scalable patterns that enhance consistency, developer experience, and team velocity
- Establish and enforce frontend quality standards across code structure, testing practices, and AI-generated output
- Translate unclear or evolving product goals into well-structured, production-ready technical solutions
- Integrate AI tools into development workflows while maintaining full ownership of engineering outcomes
- Drive improvements in performance, testing strategy, and system design with a platform mindset
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating at a Lead or Staff Engineer level with full ownership of frontend systems
- Demonstrated ability to define architecture independently and guide technical direction
- Strong track record of building maintainable, scalable frontend solutions from concept to production
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate research, coding, testing, and iteration without sacrificing quality
- Deep judgment in balancing speed, correctness, usability, and long-term health of the codebase
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment with minimal oversight
Work Environment
This is a fully remote role open to candidates in LATAM. Work hours should align with either EST or PST to support collaboration. The team operates with an AI-first delivery model, where engineers retain full ownership of outcomes despite heavy use of AI in development workflows. Culture emphasizes speed, autonomy, and sustained system quality.
