UBS Group AG is seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and improving the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees. You will ensure quality, security, and compliance while advocating for client needs and contributing to our engineering culture.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees.
- Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.
- Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs.
- Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, React JS, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Working knowledge of application frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Very good knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native services, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, JWT, web service proxies, firewalls, and multi-protocol gateways.
- Good UNIX/Linux experience and scripting skills.
- An academic degree—Bachelor or Master is a must-have.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python will be a plus.

Team & Environment
You will be accountable for platforms and projects in the WMA Corporate Institutional and Advisory Solutions Team. You'll work with broader team members distributed across the US, Poland, and India.

This role follows a hybrid work model and is based in Wroclaw, Poland.
