UBS Group AG is hiring a Senior Front-end Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees, ensuring quality, security, and compliance while contributing to our engineering culture.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees.
• Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with Java/J2EE, React JS, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Working knowledge of application frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Very good knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes and other cloud-native services.
• Familiarity with security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, JWT, web service proxies, firewalls and multi-protocol gateways.
• Good UNIX/Linux experiences and scripting skills.
• An academic degree—Bachelor or Master is a must have.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python will be a plus.
• Preferable experience in Microsoft Azure.
