Accel Schools is hiring a Senior Financial and Data Analyst to provide leadership and oversight of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for our K-12 Public School division. As part of Pansophic Learning, you will champion technology to streamline reporting and support robust decision-making across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead financial, business, and strategic planning initiatives to support the continued growth of the K-12 brick & mortar business.
- Drive organizational financial health through business analysis, KPIs, and portfolio optimization.
- Champion the implementation of technology, automation, and business intelligence tools to maximize operational efficiency and forecasting capability.
- Provide internal stakeholders with decision support based on thorough data analysis and financial modeling.
- Lead the creation, structuring, and management of complex data sets to extract actionable information.
- Oversee the production and publication of comprehensive monthly internal reporting packages.
- Collaborate across departments to collect, analyze, and present data for multi-disciplinary initiatives.
- Act as liaison to Shared Service Accounting for invoicing, collections, and general ledger inquiries.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives with an organized approach.
- Exceptional quantitative reasoning and critical thinking skills, with a firm foundation in economics, finance, and statistical analysis.
- Strong leadership presence with refined communication and presentation abilities.
- The ability to influence across the organization, explaining problems and proposing solutions clearly.
- Agile learner capable of advancing through steep learning curves and persistently tackling complex problems.
- Self-driven approach, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and dedication to enhancing operational efficiencies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and service-oriented environment.
Nice to Have
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Adaptive/Office Connect (or similar), BI360, and Great Plains (or similar accounting software).
