Love, Bonito is looking for a Senior Fashion Designer to manage the creation of all our collections, seeing them through from initial research and sketching to finished product. You will play a pivotal role in our growth as we scale our Design Department for internationalization, upholding our mission to empower the everyday Asian woman with modern, relatable, and quality fashion.
What You'll Do
- Take a user-centric, thoughtful approach to gathering insights and solving for customer needs.
- Understand the market, targeted customer personas, and design principles through research, store visits, and customer studies.
- Create products that fulfill our brand mission.
- Source materials and trims from suppliers and fabric markets.
- Effectively explain design concepts to Chinese manufacturers for accurate sampling and sourcing.
- Design accurately according to range plan and cost targets, balancing cost from design details and fabric usage.
- Produce technical drawings and detailed tech packs with accurate measurements.
- Partner with other designers on seasonal color stories and initial fabric selections.
- Travel to supplier offices in the region for fit sessions, working with models and suggesting fit changes.
- Liaise with suppliers on fabric sourcing during garment sampling and follow new developments.
- Plan design project timelines according to production and development days.
- Track and monitor relevant design product development calendars.
- Maintain an organized archive of all tech packs and fit samples.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design.
- At least 3 years of industry experience in a Fashion Design or Technical Design role.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- An impressive portfolio demonstrating creative, thoughtful design.
- Effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English; English proficiency is required.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, extreme initiative, and ownership.
- A knack for problem-solving with an ability to think ‘out of the box’; highly adaptable and flexible.
- A genuine curiosity to know how things work and how to make them better.
- Solid technical know-how and design knowledge, with the ability to translate concept into execution.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead project direction across cross-functional teams.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position open to candidates in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR China, and the United States of America.
