What You'll Do
Define the visual identity of new features and content within the game, guiding aesthetic choices from concept to implementation. Design and produce key UI components such as icons, banners, medals, flags, and patches that enhance player experience. Create detailed illustrations, background visuals, and feature-specific imagery that align with the game's historical and stylistic direction.
Transform intricate artwork into simplified thumbnails, ensuring clarity and readability at smaller scales. Build cohesive feature screens by organizing layout, visual flow, and interface structure. Use 3D foundations when needed to support concept development, including setting up scenes with proper lighting and environment for rendering.
Work closely with designers, historical advisors, and 3D artists to ensure visual consistency and functional integrity. Prototype interface interactions, focusing on usability, user flow, and intuitive design. Implement and optimize 2D assets directly into the game engine, ensuring technical efficiency and visual quality.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a 2D art or illustration-focused role
- Proven experience designing UI elements and icons using Adobe Illustrator
- Strong ability to produce complete 2D illustrations in specified styles using Adobe Photoshop
- Experience setting up and rendering scenes with attention to lighting and environment
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with 3D modeling in Blender and texturing in Adobe Substance 3D Painter
- Experience in digital sculpting with ZBrush and translating concepts into 3D forms
