Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment
- Perform detailed mechanical analysis and simulation to validate performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration and testing
- Develop prototypes and conduct validation testing
- Create and maintain engineering documentation and design specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development and production
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Support manufacturing processes with design for manufacturability input
- Evaluate materials and components for optimal performance
- Manage engineering timelines and deliverables for assigned projects
- Participate in design reviews and technical audits
- Apply engineering best practices to improve product reliability
- Interface with suppliers and vendors on component design
- Optimize mechanical systems for efficiency and durability
- Use CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting
- Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Support root cause investigations for field issues
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes and specifications
