Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end asset lifecycle management for SCADA network communications systems, covering condition evaluations, inventory oversight, tracking of end-of-life and end-of-support timelines, risk-informed replacement planning, and creation of long-term capital improvement strategies.
- Initiate, design, implement, and manage network strategies for SCADA environments, including servers, Microsoft and Linux PCs, PLCs, RTUs, LANs, WANs, wireless equipment, virtual machines, and DMZ configurations.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve advanced network and system problems, delivering expert-level troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
- Apply secure SCADA network design principles and cybersecurity standards to safeguard critical infrastructure systems.
- Lead and support the planning, implementation, configuration, and modernization of regional SCADA network communications infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with IT departments, project managers, and SCADA network and security consultants to evaluate system designs, guide technical choices, and ensure project success.
- Create and maintain technical standards, system documentation, and operational procedures, while guiding junior team members and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
