Horizon3.ai is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the growth and execution of critical engineering teams that power our autonomous pentesting platform, NodeZero. In this manager-of-managers role, you will scale technical leadership across our core platforms while aligning closely with product and engineering strategy.
What You'll Do
- Oversee engineering managers across multiple teams, including Application Platform, Internal Platform, Proactive Offense, and Precision Defense.
- Partner with other engineering teams and leaders to build scalable platforms and improvements.
- Hire and develop technical leaders and engineers, ensuring team structures that enable high velocity and strong ownership.
- Lead pods of backend, security, and infrastructure engineers, bridging offensive and defensive capabilities to drive measurable customer outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading engineering teams with a track record of building and launching products in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Highly technical background with expertise in software development and building B2B SaaS multi-product platforms.
- Experience improving developer productivity and enhancing developer experience.
- Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization.
- Strong ability to identify procedural gaps, implement engineering best practices, and streamline team processes.
- Extensive architectural management experience and subject matter expertise on platform design and flow.
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems (Kali, Ubuntu, Windows) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with databases such as Neo4j and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with scripting languages including Bash, Ruby, Python, and LUA.
- Bachelor’s and/or master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field and significant relevant industry experience.
- Exposure and/or experience with cyber security industry standards and trends.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
