About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Marine and Ports Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and delivering marine and port infrastructure projects, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction of marine and port infrastructure projects.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors.
- Ensure projects meet technical standards, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align project goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for marine and port projects.
- Develop and implement project management plans and strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Review and approve project designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external consultants and vendors to procure necessary services and materials.
- Manage project budgets and financial resources effectively.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure project standards are met.
- Develop and maintain project documentation and records.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in marine and port engineering.
- Provide technical support and expertise to project teams and clients.
- Ensure project deliverables meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct post-project reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate marine and port projects with other infrastructure developments.
- Develop and implement sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions for marine and port projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide technical input to proposals, bids, and tender documents.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in international marine and port projects.
- Familiarity with local and international marine and port regulations and standards.
- Experience in using advanced engineering software and tools.
- Knowledge of environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in managing large-scale marine and port infrastructure projects.
