Rockwell Automation is looking for a Senior Engineer - Field Support to provide technical assistance, field service, and customer coordination for our automation products and systems. You'll be responsible for attending service calls, managing annual maintenance contracts, and leading local projects with vendors.
What You'll Do
- Attend to field service work as determined and scheduled.
- Provide technical assistance and field service to customers, including engineering help, installation, startup, integration, system optimization, maintenance, warranty implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate RA products and systems for customers, including on-site analysis, hardware configuration, programming assistance, project coordination, technical support, documentation, and testing.
- Provide proper reporting of technical, administrative, and accounting information.
- Offer technical assistance to sales and customer personnel on product applications.
- Make recommendations for product improvements affecting operations and reliability.
- Pursue all opportunities to generate revenue for RA products and technical support services.
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 5 years' experience in Industrial Automation.
- Relevant field support and service experience in the Industrial Automation Control field.
- Ability to design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Experience in Basic Network management.
- Prepared to travel 60% of the time in any month, sometimes for extended periods to remote sites in India.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience on RA products like Allen Bradley PLC / SCADA, i.e., Studio 5000, Factory TalkView SE, Factory Talk Historian, Vantage Point, and Asset Centre.
- Experience in Industrial Automation Maintenance or Field Service Operation.
- Experience in Tyre or Pharma Industries.
- Experience with products like SLC, PLC5, ControlLogix, FT View SCADA, FT Historian, FT Batch, SQL Reporting.
- Experience with ControlNet Device Net.
