Mimecast North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director - Product Strategy & Operations to be the operational backbone for our product development efforts. This critical role will establish the frameworks, processes, and data infrastructure that enable the Product & Engineering organization to execute with precision and deliver our comprehensive security and risk management platform.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement product operations frameworks covering roadmap planning, prioritization, requirements management, and delivery methodology.
- Establish metrics, KPIs, and dashboards providing real-time visibility into product health, adoption, and impact across all business units.
- Create standardized processes for customer feedback collection, feature validation, and Go/No-Go decisions.
- Drive product governance across four business units while maintaining consistency with organizational strategy.
- Own the quarterly roadmap planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and realistic capacity planning.
- Maintain portfolio view across all business units: Email & Collaboration Security, Human Risk Management, Data Protection, and Governance Compliance and Insights.
- Conduct rigorous analysis on feature adoption rates and product utilization metrics.
- Support competitive analysis and positioning decisions against direct competitors.
- Drive prioritization frameworks that balance near-term customer needs with long-term strategic vision.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams to optimize handoffs and execution.
- Build data infrastructure and self-service analytics that enable product managers and leaders to make informed decisions.
- Create documentation, training, and best practices that scale product thinking across the organization.
- Support product managers at all levels with tools, coaching, and process frameworks.
- Establish mechanisms for continuous customer voice integration into product decisions.
- Conduct win/loss analysis and competitive intelligence synthesis to inform positioning.
- Support customer advisory boards, product reviews, and escalation management.
- Measure and improve product-customer fit and customer outcomes metrics.
- Provide analytical rigor to M&A evaluation processes and integration planning.
- Support pricing strategy optimization and customer segment analysis.
- Enable organizational transformation efforts through data and process improvements.
- Drive innovation initiatives and emerging product opportunity evaluation.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or business operations in technology companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in product metrics, analytics, and data-driven decision making.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience designing scalable processes and operational frameworks for growing organizations.
- Proficiency with product management tools (Jira, Productboard, or equivalent) and analytics platforms.
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence without authority.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to drive productivity and improve operational efficiency.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, enterprise software, or risk management platforms.
- Background in scaling product operations in organizations with 500+ person engineering teams.
- Experience with OKR frameworks, product portfolio management, or agile/scaled agile methodologies.
- Track record of driving meaningful improvements in product delivery velocity, quality, or customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with multi-platform product ecosystems and vertical integration models.
- Experience implementing AI-driven tools to enhance product operations and team productivity.

Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary: $228,000 - $342,000
