About the Role

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the design, build, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure for a SaaS analytics platform. In this role, you will focus on automation, security, scalability, and reliability within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable software delivery and automated release processes.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python, Bash, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and logging systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support critical production systems.
  • Ensure infrastructure security and compliance through audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, product, and customer support teams to enhance system reliability and customer experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Operations Engineering roles in cloud-first environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Node.js.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Serverless framework.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, Linux system administration, and cloud architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently and within distributed teams.
