Coopers iET AG is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a project for a telecommunications client in the Bern area. You will be responsible for developing and implementing highly available, automated platforms with a focus on Kubernetes and OpenShift.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement solution architectures for a highly secure Private Cloud.
Build and operate automated server platforms based on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Conceptualize and implement system landscapes with Red Hat and/or SuSe products.
Automate physical and virtual systems via scripting and Ansible.
Integrate and operate CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery and quality assurance.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize infrastructure regarding performance, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployments.
Document system architectures and processes.

What We're Looking For

Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in agile software development in a corporate environment.
Master's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or comparable qualification.
Several years of experience in building and operating Linux-based system landscapes (Red Hat from version 7, SuSe from version 12).
Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift as well as their automation.
Experience with OpenSource technologies, REST APIs, and containerization (Docker).
Proficient handling of tools like Git, RPM, VMWare (vSphere), Postfix.
Knowledge of network configurations (firewalld, iptables, routing tables).
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar.
Knowledge in creating technical concepts and UML modeling.
Very good German and English language skills.
Impeccable reputation and continuous residence in Switzerland for at least 5 years.
