PAR Technology is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure the development of advanced systems across our SaaS product lines. In this role, you will implement DevOps principles, drive improvement and innovation, and shape a highly scalable, resilient, and automated cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure for applications.
- Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and reliable delivery.
- Drive automation across infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and security.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on observability, alerting, and incident response.
- Enhance security and compliance through best practices in access control, encryption, and audit logging.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
- Mentor DevOps engineers to elevate technical skills and culture.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging DevOps tools and technologies.
What We're Looking For
- 9+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi) at enterprise scale.
- Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Go, Bash).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, S3, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC, API Gateway, Lambda, EC2.
- Extensive Kubernetes production experience.
- Advanced Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, SSL/TLS, VPNs, and Cloud Networking.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitOps).
- Expertise in observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, DataDog).
- Security-focused mindset with IAM, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and compliance frameworks.
- Leadership experience mentoring engineers and driving DevOps best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
