Responsibilities
- Drive product and business impact through statistical modeling, experiment design, and classifier implementation across search engine, instant answers, AI, and revenue optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to validate direction through data.
- Build trust in organizational tactics and strategy by running and advising experiments.
- Become an expert in core metrics like searches, installs, and revenue.
- Own key pieces of the data pipeline.
- Identify and resolve data integrity issues.
- Implement derived data features for internal users.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Data Science.
- Track record of leading high-complexity projects from scoping to production with minimal direction.
- Ability to deploy and iterate ML and NLP solutions in production environments.
- Working knowledge of LLMs including fine-tuning, LLM-as-judge, and AI-assisted development.
- Proficiency in writing production-grade code in Python or a comparable high-level language.
- Advanced SQL and query optimization skills.
- Familiarity with columnar databases like BigQuery, Clickhouse, Redshift, or Druid.
- Ability to design, implement, and analyze experiments across product surfaces.
- Comfortable deriving insights from sparse or privacy-constrained data.
- Effective collaboration with product teams and contribution to overall team throughput.

- Experience with a BI tool like Tableau or PowerBI.

Team size: 300+. Structure: Remote-first team operating under a culture of trust, inclusivity, and empowered project management where each member takes full ownership of their projects.
Additional Information
- You’ll be required to attend meetings on camera via video conferencing.
- Expect to travel at least two times a year: once for an all-hands meetup and once for a team retreat (each around 4-5 days). Attendance is strongly encouraged.
- Flexible work arrangement with no core hours, but an average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week is expected.
- A successful candidate must pass a background check as a condition of joining the team.
