Design and manage scalable data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, and serving layers within a medallion architecture
Establish standardized data models that align with business domains, including shared dimensions, entities, and Type 2 slowly changing dimensions
Create data pipeline architectures focused on scalability, reliability, and cost-effective performance with attention to latency, partitioning, compute resources, and service level agreements
Develop and fine-tune data workflows using Databricks tools including Spark, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Autoloader, and Unity Catalog
Implement comprehensive data quality checks, validation rules, and automated testing across all stages of the data pipeline
Ensure system resilience by properly managing retry logic, idempotent operations, and error handling in failure scenarios
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to convert business needs into reliable, high-quality data assets
Build and maintain data integrations and APIs to support seamless data access and system interoperability
Apply data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards consistently across the data platform
Guide and mentor engineering teams by promoting best practices, offering technical leadership, and fostering a strong engineering culture
Diagnose, tune, and evolve data systems and workflows in response to changing business and technological demands
