Responsibilities
- Design and sustain high-performance data pipelines, dashboards, and visual representations to support business decision-making.
- Guide conversations around data architecture and deploy reliable, efficient analytics frameworks.
- Prioritize functional development alongside cost-effective and optimized data infrastructure.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to convert operational needs into technical implementations.
- Promote the use of artificial intelligence in automation and coding to accelerate delivery and improve output quality.
- Encourage data literacy across teams by providing intuitive reporting and self-service analytics tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience using DBT in team-based, growth-focused settings.
- Proven ability in building production-grade data models on cloud data platforms including Databricks Delta, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Strong command of SQL with demonstrated knowledge of query performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of distributed data processing systems such as Apache Spark.
- Track record in designing CI/CD pipelines for data workflows with comprehensive testing, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
- Understanding of AI-powered development assistants like GitHub Copilot or natural language to SQL tools.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- Skilled in using git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
Nice to Have
- Programming experience in Python and familiarity with DAG orchestration tools such as Prefect, Dagster, or Airflow.
- Background in handling data from ecommerce or subscription-based platforms is beneficial.
