Docplanner is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to take on a foundational role rebuilding our core Practice Management Systems (PMS) data. This is a hands-on, technical position where you'll use strong SQL skills and business judgment to deliver critical analyses while simultaneously fixing fragmented and inconsistent data infrastructure. You'll sit at the intersection of PMS product & engineering teams, Data Platform & Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders across multiple countries and products.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and understand existing PMS data flows, tables, and definitions, which are often undocumented.
- Rebuild and standardize core PMS data models from the ground up.
- Define and document key business metrics, entities, and logic.
- Create and maintain clear data definitions and documentation.
- Partner closely with Data Platform and PMS engineering teams to ensure scalable solutions.
- Write fast, complex, and reliable SQL to answer business questions.
- Deliver ad-hoc and recurring analyses while infrastructure is still evolving.
- Balance long-term data quality with short-term business needs.
- Support stakeholders with data exploration, validation, and interpretation.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
- Translate business questions into data requirements (and vice versa).
- Work with developers in PMS teams where local data expertise may not exist.
- Influence decisions without formal authority.
What We're Looking For
- Very strong SQL skills: you can write complex queries quickly and confidently.
- Experience working with messy, incomplete, or poorly structured data.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, handling different stakeholders and different requirements.
- Strong business mindset: you care about why the data matters, not just how.
- Hands-on mentality: you’re comfortable doing the “not-so-nice” work.
Nice to Have

- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Superset, or similar).
- Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or data processing.
