AECOM is seeking a Senior Cost Manager with Transmission and Distribution experience to lead cost and commercial management on capital investment projects across the North, Midlands, and Scotland regions. The role involves client-side support throughout the project lifecycle, from option studies to NEC contract administration, on both national and local projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects, including asset health refurbishment or replacement of existing assets
- Provide client-side cost management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle
- Lead the successful delivery of cost/commercial management services on multi-disciplinary Transmission, Distribution and Power Systems projects
- Ensure client-side cost/commercial management, including stakeholder, risk, and contract management
- Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for budget management
- Support and manage the cost/commercial management team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements
- Actively manage contractors and subcontractors’ payments and final accounts in accordance with contract conditions
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
- Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients

- Experience in Transmission and Distribution projects

- Client-side cost/commercial management experience
- Experience with stakeholder, risk, and contract management
- Proven ability to deliver projects within budget
- Experience managing cost/commercial teams and allocating resources
- Experience managing contractors and subcontractors’ payments and final accounts per contract conditions
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and cross-functional teams
