Take a leadership role in cost and commercial management for critical power sector projects, focusing on transmission and distribution networks. You will oversee capital investment initiatives—from option analysis and tender development to contract execution—ensuring alignment with client objectives and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering asset refurbishment and replacement programs, ensuring projects meet technical, financial, and timeline expectations
- Provide end-to-end cost management across project phases, including feasibility, design, procurement, and construction
- Support development of project options and conduct cost evaluations to guide decision-making
- Assist in tender preparation and evaluation, ensuring competitive and compliant contractor selection
- Administer NEC contracts and manage contractor performance, including interim and final account settlements
- Oversee risk, stakeholder, and contract management processes on client-side delivery programs
- Ensure accurate forecasting, budget control, and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams to support seamless project execution
- Contribute to business growth by supporting proposals and client engagement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven background in cost management for transmission, distribution, or power systems infrastructure projects
- Experience leading commercial teams on client-side programs across multiple project stages
- Strong understanding of option appraisal, tender processes, and NEC contract frameworks
- Track record in managing contractor payments and final accounts in line with contractual obligations
- Ability to lead resource planning and ensure effective team deployment across concurrent projects
- Experience in multi-disciplinary power projects is highly valued
