At Vay, you will sit at the core of motion and vehicle control efforts, working to improve control performance, robustness, and safety for our remotely operated vehicles. Your work will have direct impact on the teledriver experience, passenger comfort, and the reliability of remote driving operations.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and verify model based control algorithms for remotely operated vehicles.
- Extend and maintain validation environments including simulation, hardware in the loop, and in vehicle testing.
- Drive testing and calibration campaigns, organizing and supporting track tests onsite for data collection and controller tuning.
- Support data collection, management, processing, and analysis to evaluate control performance and identify improvement areas.
- Improve automation across development, testing, and validation workflows to increase reliability and development velocity.
- Work closely with embedded software, hardware, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration and robust end to end control performance.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience using MATLAB and Simulink for model based control design.
- Strong understanding of control fundamentals.
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics fundamentals.
- Experience working with simulation environments, HIL setups, and/or in vehicle validation.
- A structured, analytical approach to debugging, performance evaluation, and system improvement.
- Ability to work effectively across disciplines in a complex, safety critical system.
- Comfortable contributing independently while integrating smoothly into a small, experienced team.
- Comfortable and flexible to work in a fast paced environment with ambitious deliverables and changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with code generation workflows.
- Experience with AUTOSAR blocksets.
- Knowledge of C for embedded systems.
