What You'll Do
Design and deploy advanced data protection frameworks using Microsoft Purview, focusing on sensitivity labeling, encryption, and automated classification to safeguard client information across Microsoft 365 environments.
Implement Data Loss Prevention policies that align with organizational workflows, minimizing user disruption while enforcing security standards across endpoints and cloud services.
Develop data retention strategies in line with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, ensuring long-term compliance and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with internal specialists and client teams to assess data governance needs and build tailored solutions leveraging Purview’s full capabilities.
Continuously monitor compliance postures using Purview’s tooling to identify and reduce risks related to data privacy and regulatory requirements.
Establish internal best practices for data security and governance, contributing to organizational knowledge and improving service delivery.
Support pre-sales efforts by demonstrating technical expertise and helping shape client proposals.
Train colleagues on Purview features and governance principles, building broader team competency in cloud data protection.
Requirements
- Citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member countries is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Cloud technologies, including at least two years focused specifically on Microsoft Purview.
- Proven ability to configure and manage Purview integrations with Microsoft 365 services, including Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender XDR.
- Strong grasp of data privacy laws such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, with practical experience applying them in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English and at least one official language of Belgium, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in a relevant technical or information security field is advantageous.
