About the Role

GetYourGuide is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to lead our Shows & Events growth and set the agenda for our next stage of scale. This is an opportunity to shape category strategy and deliver outsized impact across theater and live events, connecting people with unforgettable travel experiences worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and acquire new partnerships within the theater, shows and live entertainment sectors
  • Maintain and strengthen strong relationships with producers, agencies and ticketing companies at various levels of seniority
  • Negotiate rates and business terms with clients that maximize sales and profitability
  • Develop innovative strategies to drive revenue and increase ticket sales
  • Conduct competitive analysis to grow and optimize GetYourGuide’s market share as a meaningful contributor to partners
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Connectivity, Legal and Marketing, and Product teams
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and stay informed about current trends and developments in the business

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the theater, sports, or live-events industry
  • Established strong relationships with key contacts across the industry and region
  • Experience in working efficiently with CRM systems
  • Proven track record setting and exceeding sales and revenue targets, knowledge of the sales lifecycle and full-funnel thinking
  • Strong problem-solving skills, overcoming objections, and closing deals with challenging key accounts
  • You bring a high level of business and sales acumen and use data to prioritize your actions

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of pricing of live events and a familiarity with ticketing system(s)

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role with three days of in-office collaboration (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two days of optional at-home focus time. Positions are based at our Berlin HQ or in local offices around the globe from New York to Bangkok.
