EX Squared LATAM is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a technically strong team building a sophisticated advertising and marketing technology platform. What You'll Do

Design and implement robust backend services using Python (Flask, FastAPI, or similar)
Build and maintain Python-based GraphQL servers
Design scalable data models using SQL databases and SQLAlchemy
Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, and Engineering Leads to deliver high-quality technical solutions
Balance business requirements with sound technical decision-making
Optimize application performance across multiple applications
Apply best practices in code quality, testing, type safety, and reusability
Participate in the full development lifecycle, from planning to deployment
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies
Stay up to date with emerging tools and AI-driven development practices, proposing improvements to the platform

What We're Looking For

4+ years of experience in backend development
Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or similar)
Experience with SQL databases, ORM tools (SQLAlchemy), and GraphQL
Working knowledge of React, including form management and state handling
Understanding of testing frameworks, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Mac or Linux development environments
Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Ability to collaborate synchronously with distributed teams during core hours (EST)
