At Tiger Data, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of our core data integration platform. You will own features and services from inception through deployment and ongoing support, focusing on our Connectors platform to help developers and enterprises ingest and export data seamlessly.
What You'll Do
- Own features and services from inception through deployment and ongoing production support.
- Design, develop, and maintain Golang-based services with a strong emphasis on enabling business software solutions.
- Build, maintain, and optimize the Connectors platform to help developers and enterprises ingest/export data more easily.
- Develop new integrations with third-party APIs, tools, and platforms to expand the capabilities of our Connectors platform.
- Drive improvements to developer experience and reduce adoption friction for our customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Developer Experience to scope and deliver high-impact features.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Go, with a focus on solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in event-driven architecture and modern API technologies such as gRPC and GraphQL.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to testing and quality assurance.
- Comfortable developing in Linux environments and working with containerized applications.
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3rd party integrations.
- Experience with TimescaleDB or PostgreSQL in production.
- Cloud provider expertise (AWS, Azure; both a plus).
- Experience with self-hosted Kubernetes clusters (not only EKS/AKS/GKE).
- Previous work on database-as-a-service or large-scale distributed systems.
