Join ZYTLYN Technologies as a Senior Back-End Engineer (Python). You will serve as a senior member of the tech team, reporting directly to the CEO. Your primary focus will be developing Python-based application logic and services that power our product, with additional support for data pipelines as needed.
What You'll Do
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend APIs and related infrastructure using FastAPI, Flask, and Postgres.
- Design and optimise backend architecture on AWS, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
- Champion CI/CD best practices and automated testing pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to deliver robust backend solutions.
- Mentor and support fellow engineers in building scalable, maintainable, and well-tested systems.
- Continuously influence and improve the team’s engineering practices, tools, and workflow.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in designing and operating scalable backend systems.
- Expertise in Python for backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI and/or Flask frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of Postgres database design and optimisation.
- Significant experience architecting and deploying applications on AWS.
- Experience implementing and advocating for CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to lead technical design, mentor team members, and drive best practices.
