The Senior Automation QA Engineer will work within a cross-functional team to ensure software quality across the development lifecycle. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining automated tests, collaborating with developers and product managers, mentoring junior engineers, and identifying defects in a global ticketing platform serving the arts and entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand feature requirements and contribute QA insights during all development stages
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage
- Perform comprehensive regression testing to detect and resolve potential issues
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and expertise
- Analyze, document, and track defects while coordinating with development teams for timely fixes
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Puppeteer, and Gatling, with knowledge of design patterns like Page Object Model
- Proficient in programming languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud infrastructure
