MinterEllison is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate M&A team, specializing in the Private Capital practice. In this role, you will focus on complex, high-value domestic and cross-border transactions for sponsor clients and corporates.
What You'll Do
- Lead deal workstreams on private capital acquisitions, disposals, and investments, including drafting and negotiating key transaction documents.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and provide commercially focused risk advice.
- Advise on deal structuring, regulatory matters, and completion mechanics.
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their professional development.
- Build client relationships and support business development initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- A current Australian practising certificate with approximately 5+ PQE in M&A and/or private capital at a leading law firm.
- Experience advising on Private Capital transactions, including investments, buyouts, exits, and restructurings.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across complex transaction documentation.
- Excellent commercial judgment with the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
