Team Rubicon is hiring a Senior Associate, Institutional Giving (Grant Writer) to develop strategic fundraising goals and cultivate meaningful relationships with our passionate institutional donor base. This role is central to securing and stewarding grants that fuel our mission-driven work.
What You'll Do
- Establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with a portfolio of donors.
- Develop and write grant proposals for corporate, foundation, nonprofit, and government donors; assemble and submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.
- Ensure all grant writing and reporting complies with donor rules and regulations, as well as Team Rubicon’s style and standards.
- Keep multiple projects progressing simultaneously, meeting deadlines, managing supplemental materials, and completing activities required for successful proposal submissions.
- Work with Finance, Programs, Technology, and People Operations to gather information necessary to report to funders.
- Persuasively communicate the organization's mission and programs to potential funders and provide stewardship to donors.
- Submit grant solicitations and reports for grants ranging between $100k and $500k.
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to navigate complex org charts, budgets, and calendars to inform proposals and access grant opportunities.
- Demonstrated skill in producing high-quality, timely, and accurate reports and proposals.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for persuasive storytelling and donor stewardship.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information.
Team & Environment
This role is part of Team Rubicon's Development & Institutional Giving team and reports to the Manager, Institutional Giving.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.
