About the Role
The role involves delivering high-level appraisal services for commercial properties, working with diverse clients to provide accurate valuations in support of financial, investment, and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed market and property analyses to determine accurate valuations
- Prepare written appraisal reports compliant with industry standards
- Assess income, cost, and sales comparison approaches to value
- Evaluate real estate for lending, portfolio review, and investment purposes
- Collaborate with client teams to understand valuation objectives
- Present findings to stakeholders and respond to technical inquiries
- Maintain compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)
- Support advisory and transaction teams with valuation expertise
- Analyze economic trends impacting property values
- Review property inspections and site data for accuracy
- Estimate land and improvement values independently
- Manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
- Ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables
- Utilize financial modeling tools for valuation projections
- Interpret zoning, entitlements, and development potential
- Assist in training junior appraisal staff
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Stay current with regulatory and industry changes
- Conduct due diligence for acquisition and disposition projects
- Work across asset types including office, retail, industrial, and multifamily
